John Brandt is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist. He earned his BA in Biology from Wright State University in1990 and a post-graduate Certificate in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Northwestern University in 1991. John has provided prosthetic and orthotic care in the greater Dayton area for over 20 years and is the owner of Optimus Prosthetics. As a prosthetist, he loves working with his hands to create a device that helps people return to an independent life. In his free time, John camps and hikes with his family plays competitive soccer and snowmobiles.

Tim Riedlinger is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist. He earned his BS in Prosthetics and Orthotics from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 1994. Tim serves as the Clinical Manager of our Columbus location. Tim was exposed to the field when his sister lost her leg in a farm accident at the age of 4. Inspired by his sister, he realized at a young age that people have the ability to overcome great things as long as they have an advocate and the necessary tools afforded to them. This inspiration and passion for advocacy ultimately lead him down a career path to become a prosthetist. Outside of prosthetics, Tim enjoys spending his time with his wife and two kids and attending their school and sports activities.

Glenn Schober is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist. Glenn earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University in 1987 and a post-graduate Certificate in Prosthetics from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1988. Glenn serves as the Clinical Manager of our Dayton location. In addition to providing expert prosthetic care to his patients, he has worked with leaders in the area of elevated vacuum suspension and CAD/CAM with laser scanning technology. In his spare time, Glenn enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, watching hockey games, working on cars, and grilling out.
Megan Albury is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist. She earned her BS in Biomedical Engineering from Wright State University in 2006 and a post-graduate Certificate in Prosthetics in 2007 and Orthotics in 2009 from Newington Certificate Program. After job shadowing her junior year of high school, she knew immediately this was the profession she wanted to pursue. Outside of work, Megan enjoys being outdoors, crafting, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Jaimie Howard is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist. She received her BS in Exercise Science from Morehead State University in 2012 and her MS in Orthotics & Prosthetics from Eastern Michigan University in 2015. Jaimie pursued a career in prosthetics because it is a perfect blend of her strengths and interests: art and sculpture in a medical setting. Jaimie also enjoys yoga, exercise, painting, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Laura Klagstad is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist. She received her BS in Polymer and Fiber Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2013 and MS in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Georgia Tech in 2015. Laura first learned of the field of prosthetics and orthotics in high school after shadowing an orthopedic surgeon for a semester. She decided to apply her undergraduate engineering degree to the medical field through a career in prosthetics and orthotics. She enjoys working with amputees of all abilities. She especially loves watching patients walk into the office for the first time. In her spare time, she enjoys running road races, traveling, calligraphy, and spending time with her family.
Kelsey Holden is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist. She received her BS in Exercise Science in 2012 and MS in Orthotics and Prosthetics in 2014 both from Eastern Michigan University. Kelsey first learned of the field of prosthetics from a window display. It caught her attention and she went to then shadow clinicians in the field. She enjoyed what she learned and decided to apply her undergraduate degree knowledge in a career in prosthetics. She loves working in the healthcare field and enjoys seeing patients’ reaction when they take those first few steps. Outside of work, she enjoys running, hiking and spending time with her husband and daughter.
Derick Schmidt is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist. He earned his BS in Kinesiology from Pennsylvania State University in 2009 and his Master’s in Prosthetics and Orthotics from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2011. His background and interest in mechanical systems and CAD/CAM, combined with his degree in kinesiology, led him to become a prosthetist. Derick’s favorite thing about prosthetics is creating unique ideas and solutions that help amputees improve their quality of life. Outside of work, Derick enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Rachel, and their three dogs, as well as doing DIY home and vehicle projects.
Rachel Schmidt is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist. She earned her BS in Kinesiology from LSU in 2009 and her Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics from UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2011. After working in Atlanta and Pittsburgh, she joined the Optimus prosthetic team. Interested in architecture and physical therapy, she was drawn to the field of prosthetics because of the opportunity to combine creativity and design with the rehabilitation process. She enjoys customizing devices and helping patients of all activity levels accomplish their goals. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys anything outdoors, road trips, working on home renovation projects, and hanging out with her husband and their 3 dogs.

Amy Yates is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist. She earned her BE in Exercise Science from the University of Toledo in 1990 and a post-graduate Certificate in Prosthetics in 1990 and Orthotics in 1993 from Northwestern University. Amy serves as a Practitioner Patient Advocate for the Dayton office. She is able to answer questions for our patients and their families not only from a clinical perspective but also from personal experience.
Andrea Kinsinger is a licensed Physical Therapist. She received her BS in Physical Therapy in 1986 from Bowling Green State University and the Medical College of Ohio. Andrea has worked with lower extremity amputee patients throughout her career and loves coaching amputees through the process to return to an independent and active life. She also works with area therapists offering expertise and education in gait biomechanics and rehabilitation to facilitate an optimal outcome for our patients at Optimus. Outside of work, Andrea enjoys life with her husband and 4 children bicycle touring, wilderness canoeing, cooking, gardening and mentoring high school girls.
