John Brandt
LPO, CPO, Clinical Director
John Brandt is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist. He earned his BA in Biology from Wright State University in1990 and a post-graduate Certificate in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Northwestern University in 1991. John has provided prosthetic and orthotic care in the greater Dayton area for over 20 years and is the owner of Optimus Prosthetics. As a prosthetist, he loves working with his hands to create a device that helps people return to an independent life. In his free time, John camps and hikes with his family plays competitive soccer and snowmobiles.

Glenn Schober
LP, CP, Clinical Manager

Glenn Schober is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist. Glenn earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University in 1987 and a post-graduate Certificate in Prosthetics from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1988. Glenn serves as the Clinical Manager of our Dayton location. In addition to providing expert prosthetic care to his patients, he has worked with leaders in the area of elevated vacuum suspension and CAD/CAM with laser scanning technology. In his spare time, Glenn enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, watching hockey games, working on cars, and grilling out.

Megan Albury
LPO, CPO
Megan Albury is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist. She earned her BS in Biomedical Engineering from Wright State University in 2006 and a post-graduate Certificate in Prosthetics in 2007 and Orthotics in 2009 from Newington Certificate Program. After job shadowing her junior year of high school, she knew immediately this was the profession she wanted to pursue. Outside of work, Megan enjoys being outdoors, crafting, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Derick Schmidt
CPO, LPO
Derick Schmidt is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist. He earned his BS in Kinesiology from Pennsylvania State University in 2009 and his Master’s in Prosthetics and Orthotics from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2011. His background and interest in mechanical systems and CAD/CAM, combined with his degree in kinesiology, led him to become a prosthetist. Derick’s favorite thing about prosthetics is creating unique ideas and solutions that help amputees improve their quality of life. Outside of work, Derick enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Rachel, and their three dogs, as well as doing DIY home and vehicle projects.

Rachel Schmidt
CP, LP
Rachel Schmidt is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist. She earned her BS in Kinesiology from LSU in 2009 and her Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics from UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2011. After working in Atlanta and Pittsburgh, she joined the Optimus prosthetic team. Interested in architecture and physical therapy, she was drawn to the field of prosthetics because of the opportunity to combine creativity and design with the rehabilitation process. She enjoys customizing devices and helping patients of all activity levels accomplish their goals. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys anything outdoors, road trips, working on home renovation projects, and hanging out with her husband and their 3 dogs.

Amy Yates
LPO, CPO and Patient Advocate
Amy Yates is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist. She earned her BE in Exercise Science from the University of Toledo in 1990 and a post-graduate Certificate in Prosthetics in 1990 and Orthotics in 1993 from Northwestern University. Amy serves as a Practitioner Patient Advocate for the Dayton office. She is able to answer questions for our patients and their families not only from a clinical perspective but also from personal experience.

Julia Fry
CPO, LPO
Julia Fry is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist and Orthotist. She earned a B.S. in Business Marketing at Franklin University in 2004, a Postgraduate Medical Sciences Certificate from Penn State University in 2012, and an M.S. in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Northwestern University in 2016. Julia became interested in the field of Prosthetics when her brother became an amputee following a motor vehicle accident. Julia has been a member of the United States Air Force Reserves for 18 years and serves as an Air Force Medic and Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of medical training. Julia enjoys spending her free time remaining curious, reading, cooking, running, traveling internationally to provide orthotics and prosthetics care, and spending time with friends and family.

Nicholas Denroche
LP, CP, CFo
Nick Denroche is an American Board Certified Prosthetist and Orthotic Fitter. He is also licensed to practice prosthetics in the States of Ohio and New Jersey. He earned his BA in Liberal Arts from Flagler College in 2007 and a post-graduate Certificate in Prosthetics from Northwestern University in 2012. Nick has worked in high volume prosthetic practices in DC, MD, NY, NJ, and VA before joining the Optimus prosthetic team. Interested in technology and engineering he found the field of prosthetics to be both rewarding and well suited to his skill sets. Nick is constantly learning and applying the latest technological advances to both his work and private life. He has been using CAD/CAM and 3D printing applications in his approach to patient care for several years with great success. He enjoys incorporating traditional validated patient care techniques with newer and emerging technologies to help equip his patients to meet and exceed their rehabilitative goals. In his free time, he unwinds by kayaking, camping, running and exploring new areas with his dog. Nick is also involved in several different decentralized ledger technology projects that are attempting to improve upon existing business and commercial applications.

Allison Seim
CPO, LPO
Allison Seim is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist and Orthotist. She earned a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Cincinnati in 2014, and a M.S. in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Northwestern University in 2016. Allison pursued a career in prosthetics, because it combined her engineering background and technical mindset while allowing her to help people first-hand. Allison enjoys spending her free time reading, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.

Tim Arnold
Certified Orthotist and Prosthetic Resident
Tim Arnold is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Orthotist and Prosthetic Resident. He graduated with a Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Eastern Michigan University. Tim’s personal experience as an amputee led to his interest and pursuit of prosthetics. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 kids, being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and mastering the BBQ.

Andrea Kinsinger
Physical Therapist
Andrea Kinsinger is a licensed Physical Therapist. She received her BS in Physical Therapy in 1986 from Bowling Green State University and the Medical College of Ohio. Andrea has worked with lower extremity amputee patients throughout her career and loves coaching amputees through the process to return to an independent and active life. She also works with area therapists offering expertise and education in gait biomechanics and rehabilitation to facilitate an optimal outcome for our patients at Optimus. Outside of work, Andrea enjoys life with her husband and 4 children bicycle touring, wilderness canoeing, cooking, gardening and mentoring high school girls.

Sara Goldberg

Sara Goldberg is an American Board Certified and Ohio Licensed Prosthetist. Sara earned her BS in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine from California Lutheran University in 2008 and a post-graduate Certificate in Prosthetics from California State University, Dominguez Hills in 2010. Sara pursued a career in the prosthetics field because she felt it was the perfect combination of art, science and helping people. She has a background in physical therapy and uses that experience while working with her patients. Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with her family and her 2 dogs, playing board games and exploring the outdoors.
