Kendra Herber Competes at the Cincinnati Open: A Big Moment for Para Standing Tennis
Last weekend was a proud one for our team and for the growing world of para standing tennis. Our patient and friend, Kendra Herber, took the court at the Cincinnati Open for a match that put her talent and the sport itself in front of a brand-new audience.
Kendra played alongside top ATP athletes like Christopher Eubanks and Diego Schwartzman in a mixed-doubles format. The exhibition was lively and competitive, and the crowd quickly became invested once they saw the speed, control, and athleticism Kendra brings to every match. Cincinnati’s fans showed up with amazing energy, and seeing them cheer for para standing tennis on such a big stage was something special.
For Kendra, this event was more than a single match. She’s spent the last year working to grow the sport and build awareness for athletes with limb differences. Competing at a tournament of this scale helps move that mission forward. It also shows fans and future athletes what is possible when passion meets opportunity.
We’ve worked with Kendra for years and have had the honor of being part of her journey as a competitor, advocate, and leader in the para sports community. She continues to elevate the visibility of amputee athletes everywhere, and she does it with the same steady humility she brings to training and competition.
We’re grateful to walk alongside her in this work. And we’re excited to keep supporting para standing tennis as it reaches new audiences and creates more opportunities for athletes across the country.
Here’s to Kendra, to the Cincinnati Open for opening its doors to adaptive sport, and to the momentum that continues to grow from moments like this.
Up Next - Kendra heads to the US Open to compete on her largest stage yet! Stay tuned for what she achieves in New York.
