What Is Limbitless Drive?

This event includes a free clinic for new and experienced amputee golfers, followed by a friendly 9-hole scramble. Whether you’re swinging a club for the first time or returning to the green, this day is about showing up, improving, and connecting.

Who Can Come?

New this year: open to any amputee in the region, not just Optimus patients. Patients play free with one guest. Additional guests and non-patient amputees, $50. Bring your own clubs or use our loaners — limited, so tell us when you register.

What Does the Day Look Like?

8:30 Check-in opens
9:00 Clinic starts on the Driving Range
10:00 Group photo and clinic ends
10:30 Teams begin to tee off for the 9-hole scramble
1:30 Teams begin finishing and awards provided
*Snacks are provided throughout the event.

 FAQs

  • Community Golf Course will have limited clubs available to use for free if you do not own a set of clubs yourself. However, if you can bring your own or borrow from someone, that would be ideal.

  • Although the event is geared towards our amputee patients, family members, friends, and other members of your support team are welcome to attend and participate. Each patient is allowed a plus one for free. They will need to complete a separate registration.

  • The clinic will be first, so if you would like to come for just the clinic, you are welcome to do so. There is a question on the registration form to let us know your plans so we can prepare accordingly.

  • Yes, absolutely! The entire purpose of this event is for our patients to try new things.

  • This event is FREE for our current patients and a plus one. Anyone who is NOT a patient of Optimus Prosthetics and/or NOT a patient’s plus one is still welcome to attend for $50/person. Each individual is required to register separately.

  • There is a drive-up circle to drop-off clubs before check-in, and there will be a cart to shuttle participants from their car to the range as needed. Carts are provided for the scramble.

  • Snacks and refreshments are available throughout the event. We don't serve a full lunch, so plan accordingly if you'll be there through the afternoon. We will provide water and sports drinks. Alcoholic beverages are NOT permitted on the course. Please see Dayton Community Golf Course for full course policies.

  • Register by August 31 to guarantee an event t-shirt. After that you're still welcome, we just can't promise a shirt in your size.

  • Limbitless Drive happens rain or shine. Light rain won't stop the clinic or the scramble, so bring a rain jacket and shoes you don't mind getting wet. If there's lightning, play is suspended until the course clears it. We'll wait it out and resume if we can. If severe weather cancels the day entirely, we'll notify registrants by email and post on our Facebook and Instagram.
